Lesson Six

Building on the work from the previous lesson, you could plan the learning experiences around the issue of Christian anti-Semitism:

  • Christian violence against Jews
Sadly, and shamefully, Christians have often used Good Friday as an excuse for violence against their Jewish neighbours. One of the most important outcomes from this unit is for students to understand how badly Christians have treated Jews, the connections of this long culture of hatred with the Nazi Holocaust (known as the Shoah to Jews) and the need to reject all forms of Christian anti-Semitism.
